CERTIFICATION OF PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY IN CANADA

As of 2012, the assessment and certification of the Portuguese Language and Culture taught in foreign countries was conferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through Camões, I.P. and the Ministry of Education in Portugal.
The levels of language proficiency are established by the European Common Framework of Reference for Languages.
The following three skills will be assessed:
– Oral Comprehension
– Reading and Writing
– Oral Expression
The assessment will take place in a school/examination centre in each of the following cities:
– TORONTO
– WATERLOO
– OTTAWA
– MONTREAL
The certification of the Portuguese Language Proficiency is conferred and emitted by Camões, I.P. and the Ministry of Education in Portugal.
