Delighted to welcome Luís Barros , Consul General of Portugal in Toronto, at our Youth Summer Program this year!
Luís Barros, a member of the Portuguese bar, from 1982 to 1984, joined the diplomatic service in 1984. He served in Lisbon, Paris, Russia, The Netherlands and Cape Verde. From 2012 to 2014, he served as Head of the National Authority for the Chemical Weapons Convention, Head of the National Authority for the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty and Focal Point for the Alliance of Civilizations. He was appointed Consul General of Portugal in Toronto in August 2014. He is soon to assume the functions of Ambassador.
