Camões – Centro de Língua Portuguesa in Toronto was established in a region where the presence of Portuguese-speaking communities is an unquestionable reality, being the most numerous in Canada, and where a large percentage of students improve their proficiency in the language, at the elementary, secondary and post-secondary levels. The Portuguese programs at York University and the University of Toronto bear witness to the presence of the language and the energy of its community of speakers.
Camões CLP Toronto welcomes and helps everyone interested in learning Portuguese language and culture achieving their goal. Specifically, by supporting language students and teachers in their learning process, but also by promoting Portuguese language and cultural activities for the larger community.
Camões CLP Toronto offers Portuguese classes for adults, from the beginner level (A1) to the advanced level (C2). Students can enroll in group or individual classes, and in Portuguese for specific purposes. They can attend cultural activities, organized to support learning and cultural immersion. All courses and levels (A1 – C2) are structured according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages (http://www.coe.int/t/dg4/linguistic/cadre_en.asp).
Activities organized by Camões CLP Toronto are quite diverse, ranging from Portuguese classes to academic and cultural events, such as lectures and seminars, professional meetings, film screenings, exhibitions or extracurricular courses, as part of its promotion of the language and cultures of the Portuguese-speaking countries. Camões CLP Toronto also offers a library of printed, multimedia and audiovisual material.
Camões CLP Toronto also promotes professional development sessions and workshops on teaching and learning topics, areas or questions of interest, directed at teachers of all education institutions, where Portuguese language and culture are taught.

Hello, Vanessa
Unfortunately all our language courses start at 5pm.
You can have private classes and, if you want to, I will have to see with the teacher the schedule.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,
Maria
Hello, I would like to get more information on the beginners A1 course. Due to the health crisis we are currently facing, do you have a schedule or time frame as to when the next course would be offered? Thank you
